Pineapple + Peach Pops

By Estela - Weekly Bite, July 30, 2010 8:04 am

Helloooooo Friday! I thought you’d never get here!

Sorry for my lack of posting yesterday. I had some family matters that needed immediate attention. All is good though and I’m ready for the weekend :) :)

I treated myself yesterday and got a new candle :) Votivo Clean Crisp Whte. This is another one of my favorite scents! It makes the house smell so fresh! I love it!

For the first time in a while… we were out of popsicles! I whipped up a batch of Pineapple + Peach Pops!

My hubby got home from a work trip yesterday. For the first time in years… we didn’t do our normal tradition. I did make him his brownies…. but both of us REALLY wanted a burger instead of pizza…. So thats exactly what we had! YUM! (Sorry for the blurry pics… whoops)

I bought these patties from Whole Foods. They were nice and thick! On my burger I had cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, and tons of pickles… I love pickles and pile em’ on when I eat a burger!

It was a delicious meal and hit the spot!

A few days ago I received fourteen blocks of gourmet cheese to sample! This weekend I’ll be playing around the kitchen experimenting with some recipes.

I have to admit… when it comes to cheese, my favorite way to eat it is on a water cracker. Cooking with it will be new for me!

What’s your favorite way to eat cheese? What your favorite cheese recipe?

Have a great weekend!

I’ll be back on Monday with a new Kiddie Lunch Box idea :)

  1. 14 bricks of cheese?! That’s heavenly!

  2. I’m a huge pickle fan, too. The thing is, I most love the thin pickles you get from, say, Subway. They’re much more tart.

My favorite way to eat cheese is with a piece of crusty baguette. And wine.

  3. I don’t eat cheese…but my family does and they love it anyway!

  4.

You should never have to go through such a dreadful thing alone. One blogger and 14 blocks of cheese?? Clearly, you must feel overwhelmed. Let me be a kind friend and help you. My address is 1234….

  5. You just can’t deny a burger craving! The pops sound so good and refreshing! I am taking the kids to the water park and I am going to wish I had those to come home to! I am going to leave the cheese experimenting up to you! Have a great Friday Estela!

  6. as much as i want to eat everything in this post, the thing i’m most jealous of is that candle! i just burned out my favorite one last night and need a great new scent :)

I love the smell of those candles! My mom’s shop (Reunions, in the same shopping center as Great Harvest) sells them and they smell sooo good.

  8. Elisabeth says:

Oh, and I looked for those popsicle things in Target but I couldn’t find them! What section were they in?

  9. Mia says:

Wow, 14 bricks of cheese?! I <3 cheese. I use cheese for mac and cheese (obviously), for eclectic pizza toppings, and cheese plates. I love to nosh on cheese plates with fruit and water crackers, especially when it's hot out and you don't feel like a real meal. Wine helps too. :)

  10. I’m majorly jealous of your 14 BLOCKS OF CHEESE!! I’m with you – I generally just like water crackers. (If it is good, flavorful cheese)

  11. Tina says:

I think eating cheese with crackers or just on a snack plate with fruit is the best way too. Although blue cheese I will eat just about any way. I love it. Even more than I love pickles. I pile the pickles on too.

  12. My favorite way to eat cheese is melted on fries under the broiler. So good!

I’ve never had much cracker and cheese…I always love to cook them! I hope you have fun, and know that I’m muy jealous! Wow! :-)
