Good food is one of life’s greatest pleasures, and with a little knowledge and the right kitchen gadgets, you can have tasty and healthy meals in minutes. Today I’ll show you my top picks for kitchen essentials that will keep you cooking delicious meals all year long. *Note: The products below are NOT paid endorsements. These are my honest-to-goodness favorites for healthy kitchen gadgets.

1. Vitamix Blender

They may be pricy, but Vitamix blenders are in a class all their own. These self-cleaning machines allow you to chop, blend, cream, purée, and more—through every course of the meal—with a single appliance. With commercial quality and unsurpassed engineering, you can buy a Vitamix once and have it for life. I use mine for smoothies, nutbutters, soups, dips and dressings. LOVE IT!

2. SODASTREAM

I recently discovered the Sodastream machine and it’s now one of my favorite daily kitchen appliances! I’m not a big soda drinker, but I use it to make fresh, fizzy sparking water, wine spritzers and fizzy fruit juices. It’s a great way to make delicious calorie-free and lower calorie beverages. If you are a big soda drinker, it also helps save money and it’s better for the environment because there are no “empty” bottles or cans to discard.

3. GEORGE FOREMAN EVOLVE GRILL

One of my all-time favorite kitchen appliances is my George Foreman Evolve Grill. It has removable plates so you can grill, bake and make mini-burgers, or you can customize the grill further to make omelets or even muffins.

The plates have a nonstick coating so food doesn’t stick to the grill and also they’re sloped to allow excess fat and oils to drain away from your food. It makes a perfect holiday gift.

4. PORTION CONTROL IN A BOWL

Research shows that portion control is one of the essential “ingredients” for sustained weight loss. But with oversized plates and bowls, it’s all too easy to double or even tripple a standard portion size!

For anyone who has ever been confused about portion sizes, Measure Up bowls are the perfect solution. They have pre-measured portions subtly etched into the interior.
