A Weekly Bite Giveaway With Ball Canning!
Last week I made my first ever jam using the canning method by Ball Canning. I have to say that Blueberry Lime Jam was pretty good! We are eating it with everything!

Peaches!
I make a plan to can every year but then get overwhelmed because I don’t have a clue on how to do it!
Tomatoes!
Tomatoes…they are abundant at this time of the year here in Northern CA.
Denise- I’m a lot like you! Maybe this will finally prompt me to do it!!! I’ve got some great butternut squash starting to grow, and I love to eat that all yr long! Not really a summer fruit people thing about with canning… But… Growing it is a new adventure for me- preserving it will be too!
Strawberries
Hmmm, fruit?
I used to can all the time but with the kids gone and working full time I just don’t do it anymore. Wish I could get my kids interested, but they are boys and I don’t see that happening soon. This would have been a great giveaway.
Thanks
What a fun giveaway and webcast! I grew up watching my mom and grandmas can everything. They had huge gardens and it was cheaper on the wallet too. Nothing tasted better than summer jam enjoyed at Christmas time. Yum!
I would definitely can some peach jam, tomato sauce, or salsa right now in an effort to save and savor the flavors of summer. Hopefully your little ones enjoy your canning! Builds such great memories. ๐
I want to can some dill green beans.
I still need to can some peaches and some lovely jam while I still can!
I want to can blueberries and asparagus, but not together, lol
I’ve never canned before, but I’ve been reading more and more about it lately. I think I would maybe try pickles at first because it seems fairly simple, but I would hope to work my way up to my great grandmother’s recipe for raspberry jam. Thanks for the giveaway!
Figs from our tree… if I can get to them before the birds do!
Tomatoes!
I want to make some homemade salsa with my green peppers, onions, and tomatoes.
Estela,
I’d can low-sugar pears from our tree in our backyard. I love that you don’t need a sugary treat from the bakery to satisfy a sweet tooth, because these pears are so great when canned!
Sarah
I’m new to canning, so this would be awesome! I’d like to try to can pickles (cucumbers) this year…it seems easy…. ๐
I’ve been dying to get into canning but just haven’t been confident enough to actually do it, so this would be awesome! I think I would start with a strawberry jam – my favorite!!
I would love to try making Strawberry Jam
I love making my own salsa, it would be nice to try making a big batch and canning it.
My mother has the best peach jam recipe, I would love to try my hand at it.
