Saturday morning, I walked out the front door of my house and found this around the corner.

Del Ray’s own Art on the Avenue! Its a fall festival held every October. They block the main street of our neighborhood off and it becomes filled with art vendors, food booths, entertainment, kid activities and more.

My friend Becky is the pasty chef behind these delicious concoctions! She only slept for two hours the night before the event making sure there were plenty for the festival. Becky is the one in the ball cap 🙂

One of the coolest things was the school mural. We have an elementary school in our neighborhood and an artist painted the outline of a mural. Patrons we given a can of paint and asked to color it all in (like a coloring book.)

With the cool crisp fall air and the Fall festival, I was inspired to make something with pumpkin. Even though its cool out, M loves her pops!

These were so easy to make. All you need is 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin, 1 banana, 3 tablespoons greek yogurt, 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, and two tablespoons of honey. Combine everything in a food processor until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for at least 5 hours.

And yes… M devoured hers 🙂
