pecan praline strips

praline1.jpg

This recipe came from one of those hokey recipe books that I love.

You know what kind of recipe books I’m talking about? Right? The kind where employees submit one of their favorite recipes and it goes into the company cookbook.

Mr. Weekly Bite was given this as a gift on his travels. When I spotted this recipe I knew I had to try it. Its so easy!

{by the way… the pages are all ripped out because of a certain little 18 month old}

These praline strips are so easy to make!

First thing you want to do is line small pan with foil or parchment paper. Next you wanna lay out about 12 graham crackers. More or less depending on the size of your pan.

In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup butter. Add in brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Stir in pecans.

praline8.jpg

Pour sugar mixture over graham crackers. Spread evenly to make sure the graham crackers are coated.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool completely.

Cut into strips and enjoy!

See? I told you these were easy 🙂

    I think I used to make those as a kid, but I thought they had Nutcracker in the title (maybe that is the kids version) it was from Betty Crocker for Juniors 🙂
