Adventures on the Cove…
I drove 10 miles away from our little neighborhood and took M to one of our favorite beach spots… La Jolla Cove.
(this place holds a special place in my heart as Mr. Weekly Bite & I took our engagement photos here.)
M had never really seen the ocean before. The water was blue and the waves were huge. At first she was scared… but that quickly turned into complete mesmerization. She didn’t want to leave.
Everywhere you look the views are incredible.
Just when she thought she’d seen it all… she spotted the seals.
This beach is the natural home for these harbor seals. They were lazy, loud, and noisy. M was in heaven.
To sum up our little trip, M walked side by side with the birds, had a butterfly land on her arm, saw the ocean for the first time, and is now obsessed with seals. On our way back to the car, she knelt down and started picking flowers (or at least picking the petals off 😉 ).
She was one happy little girl 🙂
I love little hand pictures. What a sweet trip with your little girl. This is a precious time you two have together. Things quickly change once the second one gets here. Enjoy every second with her as I know you are.
We love the Cove and stayed one block from there last summer. Maybe we can meet up when we come this year. So.jealous.you live there! 🙂
Yes! Let’s meet up 🙂
What gorgeous pictures – looks like you are settling in just fine! So happy for you.
Thanks Kristen!
Hi Estela. I am new to your blog.. and I absolutely LOVE the pictures in this post. Your daughter is absolutely beautiful. I look forward to reading more! 🙂
Every single picture is beautiful. I especially love the one of M looking out on the water!
Absolutely gorgeous photos! Your photography is really amazing.
Isnt it amazing what 10 mere miles in San Diego can do or become…from the burbs or the city to the coast! I am sooo happy we’re neighbors! Or within 20 mins of each other, give or take. When I’m home, yes, we need to meet up. 🙂
Your daughter is precious! This looks like such a fun outing. I bet your daughter has amazing memories of her day with mommy 🙂
Glad you made it there safely! I know the feeling, moving during pregnancy, waiting for home, getting kids acclimated to a new place. It’s a lot! Take care of yourself. You’ll be settled in in no time.
Wow, that looks beautiful! So jealous you get to live in so many fun beautiful places! Good luck getting settled in!
