Women + Wine {Girls Dinner In}

Something happens when women sit down with a bottle (or two) of wine.

We relax, we enjoy, conversation flows, we tell stories, we laugh, our inhibitions drop… Its wonderful…

Last night we had a “Girl’s dinner in.”

Girls Dinner In = No kids, No husbands, lots of talking, Good food + Lots of wine…

Well… not too much wine. I had a morning yoga class calling my name. The last thing I needed was to be hungover + dehydrated for hot yoga.

After we tucked the kids in, we all met at Jen’s house. We see each other at Mommy Happy Hour every week, but at mommy happy hour, you’re lucky if you can even finish half a conversation.

Last night the house was quiet, there was music playing, we were able to complete entire sentences and actually finish a conversation. In fact, we were having so much fun, it was close to 11 p.m. when someone finally looked at the clock!

We had some great appetizers of cheese, crackers, and spinach artichoke dip.

The main event was Jen’s Pizza Pie. I’m pretty sure I died went to cheese & sausage heaven. I swear this thing was almost 4 inches high!

I don’t have the recipe for this, but I’m sure if we’re all nice, Jen will share her secret with us πŸ˜‰

I provided dessert for the evening…

It was sweet, sinful, and delicious… but you’ll have to wait till tomorrow for that πŸ˜‰

It was a fun ladies night and I can’t wait till the next one!

See you tomorrow with some sweet deliciousness!

    That looks like such a great evening! Ya gotta love when you can finish a sentence! It seems so odd for that to be a luxury…but it still is, even now! Enjoy yoga today…I hope you have a great one!

    Yes, please, Jen share! That looks awesome. It’s so nice you have these girls’ nights to relax, catch up, and chat without cleaning up shreds of toilet paper. Not that M makes messes. πŸ™‚
